Photography is more than my passion it is part of who I am.  Ever since I was a little girl I have always loved photography. I remember running around with my parents film cameras or disposable cameras and taking as many photos as I could to document our daily activities. I would take those photos and scrap book them or put them into albums. Now looking back at those memories and sharing them with my children it is so much fun! I still go to my parents house and look through old albums and reminisce on all of the fun memories my family has had over the years. I want to be able to give that gift to my kids as well some day. 

 

My goal is to provide my clients with that same gift. I want clients to walk away with something tangible from their session. Something they can pass down to their children and grandchildren. For me photography isn't about having digital files to share on social media, it is about having tangible memories to be able to share even after we are gone. Digital files are great, but nothing compares to holding that print in your hand and remembering that single moment in time.

 

A few years ago I had a hard drive crash and all the photos of my kids were lost. My 2 youngest daughters newborn pictures were gone, holidays, birthdays and everything else in between. I was heart broken. Thankfully I had printed a bunch of photos from that hard drive so I still had most of those memories saved.

I can't stress enough how important printing your photos is. For those who question the value of a print ask yourself, in 20, 30 even 50 years where will your memories be? Will they be stored on an old phone that no longer works? On a hard drive thats technology is out dated and you can no longer access? Or will your photos be printed and beautifully displayed in an album or on your walls?
